close your eyes. listen.

(better when plugged in)

From the moment we wake up

or leave our homes, we are constantly

bombarded with images and messages from

media we consume.

It's easy to be attracted to the "noise" when it's

entertaining and everyone you know is listening too.

We often overlook how Western elites have designed

and constructed technology with cultural and political assumptions and biases. With control over the way

we look at and talk about technology, we, in turn,

tend to assume Western superiority and neutrality

in the role technology plays in our lives. We

continue to consume all information passively

without attempting to filter the

"signal" from the "noise".

The rich are getting richer while minority voices,

efforts, and values are silenced, appropriated,

belittled, and overlooked.

Not everyone's stories get to be told.

Moving forward, consider these questions:
